How Does It Work?
Educational Therapy is a broader approach to therapy based on scientific research that aids each child specifically in developing their set of learning skills, teaches them to think differently, and helps them to develop understanding of concepts and skills learned in a classroom. Educational therapy hones in on basic and complex concepts and procedures that cause the child to begin to fall behind. Throughout the student’s treatment plan, we also record data to ensure they are progressing and, if not, determine the reason why to make necessary adjustments.
The Process
Step1
We take a concept or procedure that a student may not have understood and revisit that concept in order to examine it more closely.
Step2
We determine where the breakdown occurred in understanding the concept.
Step3
We develop a therapy plan for the student that focuses on reviewing/relearning the concept or finding another way to learn it.
